Users, accounts & permissions
Setup › Accounts manages who can use the system. The page shows a tree of accounts (companies) and the users inside them.
Accounts vs. users
- An account is a company space with its own data. Accounts can be linked in a hierarchy (a parent account with sub-accounts).
- A user is a person who signs in — always inside one account, with an access level.
Adding an account or user
- Add new account — parent account, access level, domain, e-mail, password, language, and an optional welcome e-mail.
- Add new user — parent account, access level (radio list), e-mail, password, language, welcome e-mail.
Access levels come from a fixed hierarchy: super-admin (never creatable from the UI), admin/reseller levels for accounts, and progressively lower privileges for users. The level decides which modules the user sees — every menu item and many buttons (buy prices, delete buttons, exports, tools) are permission-checked. When something is missing from a user's menu or shows a locked label, it's their level, not a malfunction.
Managing the tree
- Expand/collapse accounts to see their users; refresh re-reads the tree.
- Toggles can show deactivated accounts and (for super-admins) deleted ones.
- Account/user details open in a pane where you can edit the profile, credentials and — on main accounts — the activity log configuration (switch logging on and choose which components are logged).
- Payment-gateway credentials (PayPal, Stripe, Klarna, WhatsApp) are set in the account details' API tabs.
