Choose how to scan
Use the camera, a supported hardware scanner, or manual code entry wherever that workflow offers it.
Follow these steps
Enable camera controls if needed
Turn on Settings → Scan by camera. Open the relevant workflow and tap its camera or barcode button. Allow camera access when requested.
Use a hardware scanner
Open the target screen or add-product sheet, then trigger the supported device scanner. When entering a code into a field, tap that field first. Finish typing and close unrelated dialogs before resuming workflow scanning.
Enter a code manually
Use the Barcode action in Inventory, the Stock Manager scanner’s code field, an order/transfer lookup field, or the code fields in Scan to add. Submit using the shown search or continue control.
Read scan feedback
Check the product or line that the scan selected. If several products match, choose the right result. If none match, check the code and use product search; create a product only if you have permission and it is missing.
