Use the barcode-first product entry screen
Follow the barcode-first product entry screen if it opens in an existing workflow.
Open this screenExisting product-entry route → Add Product → Scan Product Barcode
Follow these steps

Enter or scan a product barcode
Use Enter or scan barcode, the hardware scanner, or Use Camera Scanner when the camera setting is enabled.

Submit the code
Use the search icon or keyboard submit control. Wait while the app checks the barcode.

Read the existing-product prompt
If a product matches, choose the relevant offered action rather than creating a duplicate.

Continue into the editor
If the product is missing and creation is permitted, continue to the product editor and save the intended details.
